Visual Resources

Visual Resources provides digital images to support teaching, learning, and research at UWB and CCC. Visual Resources develops and purchases the content for the UWB digital image databases, and assists patrons with accessing and using these images.

The Visual Resources image collections currently include over 20,000 digital images of art, architecture, and historical and cultural materials, with approximately 6,000 new images added each year.  The image collections are open to all disciplines, and new images on any topic related to teaching and learning at UWB or CCC can be added to the database by request. (See Services)

All UWB and CCC faculty and students are invited to use the Visual Resources collections and services in support of their teaching and studies at UWB/CCC.  All images in the Visual Resources collections are for educational use only, and may not be published, redistributed, or used for non-educational purposes.

Images in the Visual Resources collections are available through two different databases - CONTENTdm (best for general image searches and for images to be used in Powerpoint), and MDID (best for faculty classroom presentations and student review slideshows).  All Visual Resources images are available through both systems.
