Students are welcome to call and make an appointment with a counselor when they feel they need help in resolving a personal problem.
Students seek help for problems which include but are not limited to: depression, anxiety, concentration difficulties, sleeping, relationships, parenting, family of origin issues, low self-esteem, sexual assault, academic problems, substance abuse, or any other issue which impedes student success. Counseling Services also provides couples' counseling.
All appointments are kept confidential except that information which a counselor is required to report by law (i.e., child abuse, suicide or homicide intent, etc.). Counseling appointments are not a part of a student's transcripts. Please see Notice of Privacy Practices.
Currently enrolled students are eligible for a total of six counseling sessions per academic year.
