Kiwanis International is a thriving organization of service- and community-minded individuals who support children and young adults around the world. More than 500,000 Kiwanis-family members in more than 80 countries make their mark by responding to the needs of their communities and pooling their resources to address worldwide issues. The Northshore Kiwanis Club focuses particularly on providing scholarships for vocational and professional students.

The Nursing program at the University of Washington, Bothell (UWB) is committed to providing access. It is based on an understanding that practicing nurses must balance professional and personal responsibilities with their educational pursuits. The Northshore Kiwanis Club Nursing scholarship helps students achieve academic dreams and become tomorrow's leaders in their profession.


Purpose


The Northshore Kiwanis Club Nursing Scholarship is offered to a returning adult student enrolled in the UWB RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Nursing (MN) Program who meets the following criteria:

Eligibility

Current or transferring students who are planning to be enrolled (full or part-time) in the UWB RN to BSN or MN Program during fall, winter, and spring.

Notification

Applicants will be notified four to six weeks after the deadline and award recipients will be posted on the UWB scholarship web page http://www.uwb.edu/students/finaid/scholarships/.

The application includes your resume and a personal statement described on the application instructions. We encourage you to visit the Writing Center, Room UW2-124 for assistance with writing your personal statement.
