GROUP STUDY ROOM RESERVATION POLICIES

Group Study Rooms are intended for groups of UW or Cascadia students, staff and faculty working on group projects, studying together, or conducting meetings.  They are not intended for use as individual study carrels or as general-purpose classrooms.  Due to the popularity of these rooms, the library has established reservation policies for their use.

GROUP STUDY ROOMS MUST BE BOOKED!

 (Reservations may be made at the Information Commons Desk or by calling 425-352-5340)

• ONLY groups of UW or CCC students, staff and faculty may reserve group study rooms.  (A group is considered two or more people).  When you book the room, you will be asked for the number of people in your group.  With your permission, the Library staff will let other members of your group know what room you have reserved.  Without your permission, the Library staff will not disclose your room reservation.

• Reservations are normally limited to two hours.  If your group needs the room longer than two hours, please check with the staff at the Information Commons Desk to see if we can accommodate your request.

• Non-UW/CCC patrons and off-campus borrowers may not reserve these rooms, but may use them if they are unoccupied.  They will be asked to leave if a group of UW/CCC patrons wishes to use the space.

• In order to ensure that only UW/CCC students, staff, or faculty book these rooms, two individuals in the group may be required to show UW/CCC I.D. at the time of booking.

• If after 15 minutes a group fails to appear, the reservation may be cancelled, and the room may be scheduled for another group.

• If you require media equipment, you must reserve it 12 hours in advance.  To reserve media, please call 425-352-5312 or stop by the Media Center on the 2nd floor of the Campus Library building.
