The Business Administration Program at UWB offers two MBA programs- a Technology MBA program (TMBA) at its Bothell campus and a newly-established Leadership MBA program (LMBA) at a Bellevue site. Both programs are taught by nationally-recognized faculty and attract top-notch students from a variety of industries.
The TMBA (Bothell) is designed for professionals working in technology-driven industries. Students in this cohort-based program learn to strategically manage resources to create value through organic growth. Students come from a wide variety of educational backgrounds such as science, engineering, marketing, finance and operations. All share a vision of being a leader in a technology-centered enterprise. The TMBA program enables students to either emphasize intrapreneurship - creating innovative high-growth businesses within established organizations or entrepreneurship - creating new start-up businesses. TMBA students are required to participate in a capstone practicum that is taught by industry leaders who coach student teams to write viable business plans.
For more information about the TMBA program, see the Overview and the Course Schedule.
The LMBA (Bellevue) is designed for aspiring leaders from diverse functional backgrounds and industries. The program provides students with the tools necessary to manage and lead. Students develop analytical competence, business acumen and emotional & social intelligence in order to effectively lead people in their organization. All students take common first-year core classes and then customize their learning experience by choosing from a set of four electives. LMBA students are assigned to mentors who act as leadership coaches and are required to complete a leadership practicum.
