BBTI Receives Official Recognition

3/24/2008 -- The UWB BBTI today received official recognition as a University of Washington Bothell Institute by the UWB Chancellor, Kenyon Chan. BBTI Executive Director Michael Stiber remarked, "We're gratified by this show of confidence by the UWB administration and faculty. We see great times ahead for UWB, BBTI, and our current and future partners in local government and the area life sciences industry."

BBTI and City of Bothell earn IPZ designation

10/1/2007 -- The UWB BBTI has partnered with the City of Bothell to develop a "Bothell Biomedical Manufacturing Corridor". This Corridor was officially designated an Innovation Partnership Zone (IPZ) by the Washington Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development on October 1, 2007. The Biotechnology and Biomedical Technology Institute (BBTI) at the UW Bothell is a resource for individuals and organizations in the region and state with an interest in the development of the biotechnology and medical device industries.
