The 3rd Annual UW Bothell 5K Run-Walk fielded a record turnout as several hundred runners and walkers enjoyed the scenic campus while helping raise nearly $7,000 for the UW Bothell Alumni Scholarship Fund. Afterwards participants and spectators were treated to a post-race breakfast, music from J-Minus, and a Family Fun Festival sponsored by the Campus Events Board. Even official UW husky mascot Spirit was on hand.
Matt Krier was the top finisher in a time of 17 minutes and 35 seconds. Jan Whek was the first UW Bothell student to cross the finish line. Other results are available at www.uwb.edu/5krun.
Plans are already in the works for next year's event in Spring 2009. We hope to see you there.
